Turmeric Tomato Pasta


Most people think of “turmeric” only as the spice in curry but it is more versatile than that. Make delicious and healthy turmeric tomato pasta with our chef! Turmeric Tomato Pasta

Ingredients:(2-3 servings)
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 king oyster mushroom
  • 2 button mushrooms
  • Some chopped capsicum
  • 1/3 onion
  • 1/2 small cucumber
  • 2 bunches of Red Turmeric Ramen
  • 80g tomato paste
  • Some ketchup
  • 30g  30g President-brand unsalted butter
  • Some chopped shallots
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 30g Italian herbs
  • 20g black pepper
  • 3 tbsp vegetable stock (or use plain water)
  • Note: Add some salt to taste

Step 1:
Boil a pot of water.

Step 2:
Cook Turmeric Ramen in the boiling water for five minutes and remove from pot.

Step 3:
Melt unsalted butter in frying pan.

Step 4:
Stir fry garlic and shallot. Add onion and king oyster mushroom and continue frying.

Step 5:
When king oyster mushroom and onion soften, stir in tomato, capsicum and small cucumber (add stock or plain water as needed).

Step 6:
Mix in tomato paste, ketchup, Italian herbs and black pepper.

Step 7:
Mix in Turmeric Ramen and cook till sauce is slightly reduced.
